Naples International Airport is located in the suburb of Capodichino, 7 kilometers from the city center. There is an Italian air force base nearby. Capodichino belongs to the category of small international airports in Italy. On its territory there is parking for 29 aircraft and one runway 2628 meters long. Capodichino was officially opened in 1925, but served as a military base during the First and Second World Wars. It is currently managed by a British corporation.
The airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 serves scheduled flights and is open 24 hours a day.
