 Palatinus - bath and beach in Budapest

There are many baths in Budapest, including classic ones such as Széchenyi, Gellert, Rudas, Lukács and others. Meanwhile, there are so-called outdoor pools, or rather, outdoor swimming complexes. Palatinus is exactly like that. But often it is simply called the beach - Palatinus Beach. In the heat, you can hardly find a better place than Palatinus. This beach, located on Margaret Island, is very popular among both locals and tourists.







The Palatinus Baths in Budapest opened in 1919. It was reconstructed several times. Currently, its 11 pools are spread over an area of about eight thousand square kilometers. Thermal water is rich in calcium, magnesium, and sodium bicarbonate. Has a low salt concentration.


Pools include: artificial wave, two thermal, Margate, two children's, two swimming, entertainment. There are sports grounds, four recreation areas, a sauna, many cafes, toilets, showers, solariums.




Different pools have different temperatures.


Open every day from 9 am. Closing time depends on the season.


Ticket price during the season is:


- for adults - on weekdays - 2900 forints, on weekends and holidays - 3400 forints;

- for children 3-14 years old, students and pensioners, respectively 2100 and 2300 Hungarian forints;
