 Shopping in Milan

Milan is the universally recognized tourist capital of Europe, a center of art, fashion, style, design, luxury and, of course, shopping. On the streets of Milan you will find many brands that will satisfy people of all tastes and financial capabilities. Shops in Milan are usually open from 08:30 to 19:30, with a break, the traditional Italian siesta, from 13:00 to 15:00. This is strictly observed, as is rest on Sunday. Tourists are mainly interested in discounts. This happens twice a year. The winter discount starts after the New Year holidays and lasts until the end of February, and the summer discount - from mid-July to the end of August.

Here are the best shopping areas in Milan.

Quadrilatero D'Oro (Golden Quadrilateral):

Initially it was really a square, which included four streets Via Monte Napoleone, Via Monzani, Via della Spiga, Via Sant’Andrea. In recent years, they have added Via Borgospessob Santo Spirito and Gesù. In this square you will find such famous brands as Ferragamo, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Fendi, Armani, Dior, Burberry, La Perla, Dolce&Gabbana, Ferré, Laura Biagiotti, Miu Miu and others. The main street is still Via Monte Napoleone:

Considered the most prestigious and expensive shopping street not only in Italy, but throughout the world.

Via della Spiga:

There are also high-end boutiques and shops here. There are no cars on this street, so you can walk freely and look into shops.

The main shopping center of the Golden Quadrilateral - Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II:

Corso Buenos Aires:

To get there, take the red M1 metro line, stop Loreto/Lima/Porta Venezia .

Via Torino:

This street is only 700 meters long and the walk takes only ten minutes, but some people stay there all day - there are many shops here: Zara, Carpisa, Oysho, Victoria's Secret, Calzedonia, OVS, Geox, Mango, Nike, MAC, Bath&Body Works, Foot Locker, MM Calzature, AW LAB, Pimkie, Pull&Bear, Accessorize, Kiko, Pandora, Brillanty, Terranova, Tezenis, Tally Weijl, Stradivarius, Alcott, Levi's, H&M, LUSH, NYX Professional Makeup. In St. George's Square, I recommend visiting the chocolate shop Cioccolatiitaliani.

This street starts from Piazza Duomo.
