Vaci Street - you should definitely take a walk here

Vaci Street in Budapest is one of the most important pedestrian areas of the city and a calling card of high society. This main shopping street is very popular for sightseeing and shopping. Its history begins in the 16th century, and it became a real street in the 18th century. At that time, Vaci Street was considered an elite area of the city, and its length and Pest Street corresponded to each other. Currently it stretches for 1200 meters from northwest to southeast.

Váci Street is located parallel to the Danube, 200 meters from it, in the historical district of Belváros. There is a special atmosphere here: in ancient buildings there are shops, galleries, exhibition centers, cafes, restaurants and expensive hotels.

Váci Street starts from Vörösmart Square and continues almost to the central market, to Fevam Square. Its northern part is distinguished by an abundance of shops and shopping centers, and the southern part is distinguished by restaurants and cafes.

This street is often called fashion street. Here are the stores of such giants of the world's fashion companies as, for example, H&M, Benetton, Zara, C&A, Bershka.

In addition to boutiques, there are shops of local porcelain brands “Herend” and “Zsolnay”, an antique gallery of Istvan Csok, a bookstore “Libri”, and many souvenir stalls.

There are many hotels on Vaci Street - from economy to premium. I will list some of them: Estilo Fashion Hotel Budapest, Old Monarchia Hotel, Cosmo City Hotel, Váci apartment, Midtown Apartments, Best Choice Hostel, Mercure Budapest City Center, Fashion Street Apartment.
