Venice is served by two airports. One of them is named after the famous Venetian traveler Marco Polo and is located in the small town of Tessera, northeast of Venice, eight kilometers from it, and the other is named after the Italian sculptor Antonio Canova and is located in the city of Treviso, 31 kilometers from Venice. These two airports receive approximately 14 million passengers per year.
