Dresden Airport

Dresden Airport, formerly known as Dresden-Klotsche Airport, is an international airport. It is located in Klotzsch, in the Dresden district, nine kilometers north of the city center. It serves about twenty airlines flying both within Europe and around the world. Dresden Airport has been in operation since 1935. After the reunification of Germany it was expanded, a second terminal was opened in 1995, and in 2001 a new terminal appeared, which is currently the only one.

The undoubted advantage of Dresden Airport is the multi-storey car park. It is designed for 1,500 cars and is connected to the terminal building by a closed pedestrian corridor.

Get off at Hauptbahnhof station and you'll find yourself on Pragerstraße, the city's main shopping street. From here, the main attractions are just steps away.
