The Lukács Baths (Lukacs furdo) were discovered in the 12th century, although the complex was not built until seven hundred years later. According to legend, the water rising from the ground healed Saint Lukács (Lucas, Lukasz), and the baths were named in his honor. This is also stated on the signs on the building. These thermal waters were said to have been used for healing by the Knights of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem (later the Knights of Malta). In the Middle Ages, monks built a bathhouse next to the monastery where they treated the sick.
The Lukach Baths has five indoor and two outdoor pools (temperature 22-40 degrees), various types of saunas, a solarium, massage cabins, and a drinking spring. In open pools, you must wear a swimming cap.
The water here is rich in sodium, calcium, magnesium, fluorine, which is very important for people with diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Drinking healing water is useful for those who suffer from: chronic gastritis, stomach ulcers, intestinal inflammation, high acidity of the stomach, inflammation of the respiratory tract, some diseases of the gallbladder.
