How much does food cost in Budapest?

I will let you know how much food costs in Budapest. If you are interested in what the price is for the same products in the resort areas of Hungary, add 10-50% to this amount. The price is indicated in forints, since in Hungary they trade mainly in forints. Before reading this article, it would be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the Hungarian currency. I don't think it will be difficult for you to exchange forints for lari or other currencies. Please note that the price of some products varies depending on the season.

First of all, you should decide what you prefer: cooking at home (of course, if you have the opportunity to do this in your apartment) or going to a restaurant or cafe.

Although food prices in Hungary are lower than in France and Italy, I advise you to cook dinner at home, but do not forget about Hungarian cuisine. One dinner at a restaurant can cost you even 10,000 forints. It's up to you whether you buy the item at Budapest Central Bazaar or in supermarkets such as Spar, Tesko, Lidl, Penny, CBA, Aldi.
