If you are visiting Budapest, especially with children, we recommend that you do not refuse a river bus excursion. The amphibious RiverRide bus is different in that you will not only go for a ride around the capital of Hungary, but also raft on the Danube River and enjoy the sights of Budapest from there. If you are limited in time and have set aside a certain amount of money to get pleasure and positive emotions from the trip, an amphibious bus is ideal for you.
The amphibious bus has been operating in Budapest since 2009 and undoubtedly adds to the charm of the Hungarian capital. The attraction begins at the building of the Academy of Sciences - Istvan Szechen Square, 7/8. Here you can buy tickets half an hour before the start of the tour.
On the bus, just like on a real ship, you will have to climb a ladder. The bus will pass by the synagogue, travel along András Avenue and head towards Heroes' Square. You will pass the octagon, the opera. The guide (in English and German) will tell you about this avenue, the zoo, and the unusual bus. You will then travel directly to the Danube by boat.
You will pass by the Parliament building, the citadel, Margaret Island, Buddha Castle. From the water everything is visible on a larger scale than from land.
There is a life jacket under each passenger seat just in case. The bus hardly shakes, so the risk of seasickness in children is minimal. During the excursion, a competition is held and prizes are awarded.
